Terry A. Francis
Chief Technologist

Terry A. Francis joined MATHESON as chief technologist of electronics in 2007. His duties include the company's technology development in the electronics arena, including coordinating efforts on a global basis with Matheson's parent, Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (TNSC), and the other TNSC entities. He also is responsible for establishing advanced collaborative research programs focused on the semiconductor market. The entire MATHESON Electronics R&D organization reports to Mr. Francis.

Mr. Francis has more than 36 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with emphasis in process, materials, equipment, design, and metrology. During his career, Mr. Francis has managed a team of strategic and core technology experts at Applied Materials, and he has been active in various new product development, research and development, and general management roles. Prior to joining MATHESON, he managed T.A. Francis & Associates, a technology consulting company in the advanced technology fields.

Mr. Francis holds a B.S. in chemistry from Oregon State University and an M.B.A. from National University. He is an active participant and contributor in SEMI, ITRS, NSF-SRC, Environmental Programs, Nanotechnology, and technical conferences on an international basis.
