The Gas Professionals
Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation (“NSHD”, President CEO: Toshihiko Hamada) today announced that its U.S. operating company, Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc. (“MATHESON”, headquartered in Irving, Texas), will build, own, and operate a new air separation plant in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is scheduled for completion in 2027. This new plant will strategically strengthen MATHESON’s national network of air separation plants, particularly in the rapidly growing U.S. Sunbelt region.
The new plant will produce oxygen, nitrogen, and argon to meet increasing demand for liquid gases in the medical, fabrication, construction, and food processing industries across Nevada, California, Utah, and Arizona. The addition of this new plant will further enhance our U.S. capabilities in packaged gases, specialty gases, nitrous oxide, dry ice, helium, and HyCO (hydrogen and carbon monoxide) supply.

In early August 2023, the island of Maui, Hawaii, was gripped by a relentless wildfire outbreak, ominously named the Hawaii Firestorm. Fueled by dry, gusty conditions, the fires wreaked havoc, prompting evacuations, causing extensive damage, and tragically claiming lives.
In the wake of this catastrophe, MATHESON sprang into action. Our mission: to stand alongside the resilient Maui community as it grapples with the aftermath.
Partnering with the Maui Food Bank, we extended our support by donating four pallets containing over 6,900 bottles of essential water. This contribution will help ensure that vital resources are readily available during these challenging times.
We acknowledge the profound impact these wildfires have had on Maui residents. At MATHESON, we’re dedicated to lending a helping hand and fostering resilience in the regions we serve. Together, we can overcome even the most formidable challenges.

At MATHESON, we take pride in our team of employees who contribute to our company’s success and embody our strong company culture. Today, we spotlight Nancy Dorwart, a highly skilled national driver recruiter who has been an integral part of our team since October 2021.
With her extensive recruitment experience and genuine passion for connecting with people, Nancy has become a valuable asset to our organization. Her responsibilities as a national driver recruiter include sourcing, screening, and hiring drivers nationwide. Nancy’s dedication and expertise in finding suitable candidates have contributed significantly to the growth and efficiency of our driver workforce.
What sets Nancy apart is her enthusiasm for the recruitment process. She describes it as a thrilling hunt, and when she successfully brings in new hires, it’s a truly exhilarating experience. Nancy’s ability to build rapport and understand drivers personally has been instrumental in attracting top talent to our company. Her approachable nature and genuine interest in each driver’s story create an environment of trust and open communication.
Before joining MATHESON, Nancy had a diverse career journey. With a degree in psychology, she initially ventured into the field of Human Resources, where she discovered her passion for connecting with people and helping them find fulfilling careers. During her time in Human Resources, she had the idea to transition into driver recruiting, given her previous interactions with drivers and her ability to relate to their experiences. Since then, she has spent approximately three years honing her recruiting skills, making her a seasoned professional in the field.
One of the key lessons Nancy has learned throughout her career is the importance of treating everyone with respect and professionalism, regardless of their occupation or background. She firmly believes that every individual, whether a truck driver or a corporate executive, deserves the same level of consideration and courtesy. Nancy’s commitment to honesty and fairness has made her a trusted partner for drivers and the MATHESON team.
Beyond her work as a recruiter, Nancy’s interests and hobbies reflect her vibrant personality. She loves reading and can often be engrossed in murder mysteries and gripping non-fiction books. Nancy’s fascination with true crime extends to her TV preferences.
Nancy’s interests surpass her love for reading and true crime mysteries. Alongside these pursuits, she is passionate about examining local history and researching details of her genealogy. However, Nancy’s passion for history does not stop there. She finds herself exploring local cemeteries and understanding the lives and legacies of those who preceded her.
As Nancy continues to make a positive impact at MATHESON through her exceptional recruitment skills and dedication to fostering meaningful connections, she exemplifies the values and spirit of our company culture. Her professionalism, kindness, and commitment to providing a positive experience for drivers and colleagues make her an outstanding team representative.
We’re proud to have Nancy Dorwart as part of our MATHESON family, and we look forward to witnessing her continued growth and success as she contributes to our shared vision of excellence.
