Chrisdan McCready began her journey with MATHESON in the Legal department in March 2016 before transitioning to Human Resources in 2018. This move allowed her to take on new responsibilities and sharpen her project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. By taking advantage of this growth opportunity, Chrisdan was able to move to her current role as the Cornerstone and e-days Manager.

In her position, Chrisdan oversees key systems that support daily HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, and performance management. Her typical day involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and developing strategies for improvement. She enjoys the variety and challenges each day brings and finds satisfaction in optimizing processes and supporting her colleagues.

One of Chrisdan’s proudest accomplishments is the successful implementation of the Cornerstone system, which launched in phases from 2021 to 2023. Each phase introduced new functionalities, important to the efficient operation of the HR team. She also played a pivotal role in launching e-days, MATHESON’s vacation management system. Chrisdan consistently refines these systems, ensuring they adapt to the company’s evolving needs and enhance the overall user experience for her teammates.

Chrisdan’s passion for her work parallels her appreciation for her teammates. She values the friendships she has built and enjoys collaborating with her colleagues. She encourages new teammates to strive for excellence, saying, “Put in your best effort and take pride in what you accomplish.” 

Chrisdan loves the outdoors and finds joy in nature. One of her favorite pastimes is hiking with her family, exploring new places, and visiting parks together. She also has three cats and volunteers at a local pet rescue with her daughter.

Nick Schulte has dedicated nearly three decades to MATHESON, spending 19 of those years as an Outside Sales Representative. His journey began in the warehouse, where he managed cylinder deliveries across locations, and over the years he moved through various roles, from route sales to inside sales, before finding his stride in his current position.

For Nick, MATHESON’s diverse product offerings and industry experts help him to consistently bring value to his clients. He finds pride in working with colleagues across locations and appreciates the company’s commitment to safety and teamwork. Collaborating with a team of talented people with collective expertise not only supports him in his sales role but also allows him to provide top-quality solutions tailored to the unique needs of each customer.

Living near Sioux Falls, Nick shares a fulfilling life with his wife Lori, who he’s been married to for 37 years. Together they enjoy a vibrant, outdoor lifestyle that includes camping, yard work, and ATV riding, often shared with their two sons and two young grandchildren. This balance of family, work, and personal enjoyment reflects Nick’s well-rounded approach to life, which he brings into his role at MATHESON.

Kristin Bellon’s career at MATHESON is defined by her drive to succeed and her passion for learning. Over the past nine years, she has taken on various roles within the company, working through the ranks from Administrative Assistant to her current role as an FDA Compliance Specialist. Her experience highlights how embracing new opportunities can lead to personal and professional growth.

Kristin’s role is crucial in ensuring that MATHESON’s Air Separation Units (ASUs) and Packaged Gas sites meet strict medical regulations. She travels frequently to conduct audits, inspecting sites to make certain they comply with FDA and state standards. Kristin’s passion for compliance emerged early in her career, and she was thrilled when she was offered this specialist role, which aligns perfectly with her long-term professional goals.

One of Kristin’s proudest accomplishments was her involvement in the Pelican Project, where she took on many roles during the construction of the Westlake ASU site. She says the best moment was seeing the team’s hard work come to life in the completion of four ASUs, transforming an empty clearing into something extraordinary. Being a part of the Pelican Project showcased Kristin’s dedication to her work and reinforced her passion for the industry and MATHESON’s growth.

Kristin draws her greatest motivation from her husband and three children. Outside of work, she enjoys living in what she calls a “Sportsman’s Paradise.” She loves fishing in both freshwater and saltwater as well as hunting. These activities allow her to unwind and connect with the outdoors, a key part of her personal life.

Ardie Smith began his career at MATHESON in October 2015 as a driver for our Packaged Gas business. Just two years later, his leadership potential was recognized, and he was promoted to Lead Driver, setting him on the path to his current role as the Distribution Manager at the Fort Worth, TX location.

Ardie oversees the logistics of daily operations, focusing on truck maintenance and ensuring compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) and company regulations. He starts each day by leading the team through safety discussions, addressing any issues that could impact their work.

Some of Ardie’s proudest accomplishments include being named South Zone Driver of the Year in 2024, contributing to key initiatives like the Uniformed Truck Cab Project and the Distribution Reorganization Project, and becoming a Certified Driver Trainer. Outside of work, Ardie is passionate about spending quality time with his family, making it a top priority in his life. He also values staying active, regularly hitting the gym as part of his routine. His love for sports often leads him to attend games whenever he can, while his enthusiasm for Corvettes showcases his appreciation for precision and design.

Marisa Reyes’ career at MATHESON began in 2009 when she was brought on as temporary personnel in Human Resources. What started as a short-term role quickly became full-time, working as an HR Assistant. In 2013, she became a Senior Payroll Specialist, and by 2021, her leadership and expertise earned Marisa her current role as Payroll and Compensation Manager.

Marisa leads a team of payroll specialists, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time. Her responsibilities extend beyond overseeing payroll – she is also instrumental in managing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and facilitating audits by maintaining accurate payroll records. Additionally, she takes charge of training new hires, making sure that her team is well-equipped to handle the demands of a fast-paced payroll environment.

Collaboration is a key part of Marisa’s role, and it’s something she values deeply in MATHESON’s culture.
